Outdoor Retailer Show Salt Lake City 8.-11. August 2008

Posted by Freya on July 31, 2008

Thanks to epic kayaks to bringing me in for the Outdoor Retailer show in Salt Lake City!

I’ll be at the epic booth 1/2 days, and loking around he other 1/2 days (but don’t know yet which half…)

If someone would like to meet me there - my cellphone should be working!

Thanks to Sea Kayaker Magazine and Hilleberg the Tentmaker for inviting me to their annual partys! It will be fun, I assume… :-))

Thanks for Australian hospitality!

I am overwhelmed - a long list of response e-mails and comments on my blog-entry for assistance on the way along the OZ-coastline came in - thanks to all the helpful, friendly people!

I am honored I seem to be that much welcome in your country!

I’ll do my best to stop by in most places (it’s actually not too hard in sight of a hot shower…), but hope I don’t have to disappoint too many people especially in the populated areas - it will still be a fast paddle within one year.(no longer tourist visa possible :-))  )

Tassie will be another weekender…

Hi to all people out there in Tasmania!

I have to apologize that I won’t include Tasmania in my upcoming circumnavigation of the Australian mainland.

I’ve got already response from Tassie people on my previous entry - thanks to Geoff and Andreas!!  - and I’m sure that one day this will be a seperate trip for me, rounding the beautiful southern island. Preferred combined with some inland exploratin as well - but you can’t do everything on one trip!

Australian contacts wanted!

My OZ-trip planning is proceeding on now, after it was a bit on a hold due to some excessive working time…

Actually, this was part of the trip preparations, too, getting some stuff in my shops updated and running.

I do have a pile of 125 maps 1:250.000 at home now, given by Geoscience Australia. Thanks a lot! OZ becomes a realistic shape, nosing ino the maps now, and re-reading Paul Caffyn’s Australian book and other shorter or longer OZ-trip-reports. The maps will be sitting on my front deck all day the next year!
