26.55 153.08 Bribie Island seaside beach 55 km 9 hrs

One of 8 proud prawn trailers, on anchor off Mud Island, after the night’s work was done

This boat, very close to the beach off Woorim, Bribie Island, peed first white…

…then grey…

…then black…is that beach lacking some sand???

Message via satellite phone:
I’m staying in today doing chores, looks like it’s a touch too much out there to get to Sydney.

Bulli Pool in the middle of the surf
The weather was marginal again that morning, again forecasted 25-35 kn following winds…I decided to stay in after the last 80 km-day and to get some rest and chores done.

That question was emailed by Freya’s gear wrangler Peter Treby. She is still working her communications systems. She got a message out on her satellite phone and a couple of short calls out on her German cell phone. Annie and Les Bognar are working to get her Australia cell phone service activated and I managed to get her SPOT messenger registered. With the SPOT she’ll be able to get her position out to those of us in the support team, most importantly to Karel Vissel in Israel, the man doing her weather forecasting.

Thanks to epic kayaks to bringing me in for the Outdoor Retailer show in Salt Lake City!
I’ll be at the epic booth 1/2 days, and loking around he other 1/2 days (but don’t know yet which half…)
If someone would like to meet me there - my cellphone should be working!
Thanks to Sea Kayaker Magazine and Hilleberg the Tentmaker for inviting me to their annual partys! It will be fun, I assume… :-))
