Reed Chillcheater

Thanks to Chris Reed from Reed Chillcheater for providing the all black "wet gear" which started my "Woman in Black" image.

Chillcheater gear keeps me warm and looks so cool.

I love the Greenland style Tuilik. It’s thin, lightweight and pliable so I’m able to do any roll with ease. Depending on the water or air temperature you can wear whatever you prefer underneath: a dry suit or just fleece. Given its lightweight, the tuilik is great for pool training as well.

A great wet gear combo that I often wear is the summer is the Aquatherm pre bent Long Trousers and Aquatherm short sleeve Touring Cag. The Touring Cag has a zippered neck that you can open and close with ease. With one layer of fleece underneath I’m as warm as if I’m wearing thin neoprene. And, yes, I love the way it looks.

Aquatherm short sleeve Dry Cag is perfect in summer conditions where I expect to roll a lot in the tidal races. It would be great for paddling white water on a warmish day as well.

In addition to the regular gear you find in his catalogue, Chris provided me with meters of his great black Aquatherm fabric to sew on my own special "after paddling" gear: I’ve already made a sexy dress, skirts, tops, jackets, trousers and some *"f"underwear*. Please view an example on the first pic! The rest you need to view "live"…

Chris’ black Aquatherm gear is a pleasure to wear as wet gear combined with the Transpire fleece layer. It is lightweight, stretchy, warm and just looks good on "after paddling" sessions, too!
