Getting a satellite phone for my year long “Race around Australia” was a joint venture of  Scott from Telestial for giving me a HUGE discount to buy a Motorola 9505a Iridium Satellite Phone plus some spare batteries and stuff – and Chris Reed from Reed Chillcheater taking over the rest of the expenses to buy me the satellite phone and the pre paid Sim-Card!

My Satellite phone will be a very important piece of equipment, as Karel Vissel sends me the weather update on it to read (rather that to listen to a certain maybe blurry broadcasted time)
