This lightweigt (0,779 kg) and small 283 x 215,8 x 19,5 (front) / 25,5 (back) mm Toshiba Portégé R500-Y11 travel-notebook is really not much weight to add to my expedition luggage, but it’s more than helpful to carry my own notebook along on the road for easy internet access wherever there is cellphone range. Plus easy storing and editing of pictures, videos and voice recorder files.
I didn’t made that step so far to connect my laptop to my satellite phone (expensive, and re-charging issue) to be able to post from the bush as well, as I’m still not a paddling reporter, but a sporty padlder who likes to be connected to the world and to tell people who like to follow up about her trip. But who knows one day…
